La Palma

La Palma is also known as La Isla Bonita and is the most north westerly of the Canary Islands 137miles away from Tenerife with La Gomera in between. La Palma is the fifth largest of the eight Canary Islands.

The island features the second highest peak in the Canaries at 2,426 metres and the Cumbre Vieja volcano which last erupted in 2021 lasting for 85 days – it is currently dormant which makes for very interesting and recently changed landscape to see what impact this has made on the island and to its inhabitants.
